FAQs

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance directly, but I am considered an out-of-network provider. If your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. I can provide a monthly superbill—an itemized receipt—that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Many PPO plans include out-of-network coverage for mental health services.

How can I find out if my insurance will reimburse me?

To understand your out-of-network benefits, it’s best to contact your insurance provider directly. When you call, consider asking the following questions:

  • What are my out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health services?

  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible? If so, how much has been met?

  • What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?

  • What is the process for submitting a superbill for reimbursement?

What is the cost per session?

For information about current rates, please feel free to contact me directly. I’m happy to explain my fee structure and help determine which service format—such as individual sessions, child sessions, parent consultations, or school collaboration—would best support you or your family’s needs.

Do you meet with patients in person and virtually?

Yes, I offer both in-person sessions at my office on West 96th Street in the Upper West Side, and virtual sessions via Zoom.
